INSTAGRATIFICATION by ISREAL NELSON

I hate John, Funke and Janet because they have never liked my picture on Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat forgetting they don't have a device that devices their way of life.
My Mom got duped of her money by someone who posed to be me.
In the next room is Rebekah, a girl who poses naked, sending filtered photographs of herself just to get the likes, two days ago she was in a pool of her tears, almost committing suicide when she had just two likes and a boy commented on her picture, saying she was ugly.
Andrew, he is always in his room trying to please those outside his walls, the only time you see him outside his room is when he is hungry.
Mr Adegoke is battling to keep his family together because he can't stop viewing the nude pictures posted by Rebekah on Instagram.
Too many fallacy, now hard to tell reality. Is this the world of our dreams, a world where we struggle for affection, bleeching our great looks only to be considered another person's filtered dreams. A world where we don't consider ourselves great until a stranger says so. A world that has stolen our time and ended more relationships; friendships, families. Our time is precious and should be spent on production and not on the destruction of the little we have.
The influence of this device is gradually configuring us into another device, it is making us less responsible.
Now living in a world of self-interest, self-image, self-promotion. That's why we feel excited and fulfilled when we receive messages.
That's why we go, go and stroll back to see all the likes, to see if my Instagram is growing.
"There is more to life than this"
When you wake up in the morning, already picking up your phone before praying or saying Good morning to your family or the person next to you. It's an ADDICTION.
And like Addiction of all time, it will destroy relationship, cost your health, cost your time, cost your dreams and make your life worst. We are a generation of smart phones and dumb people.
We are too busy looking down that we don't see the chances we miss.
There is nothing bad about social media or cellphones but it is the imbalance.
Find a balance between life and technology.
Don't waste your life getting caught in the net.
Be moderate, careful and spirit filled
